Dave Kaplan, owner and founder of Surfdog / DKM got his first start in the music business in merchandise.  In 1981, Dave moved to Los Angeles to join a small merchandising firm. The company soon signed artists including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bette Midler and David Bowie, going on to become one of the largest merchandising companies in the early 1980s.  Dave and Surfdog have always had strong visions for their clients and we’re excited to be able to offer a new way to support and promote the artists and music we love!
